Why did I decide to start a blog post? I am a 52-year-old married mother of two adult boys. What can I possibly have to offer that anyone else might be interested in reading? The key is relatability. When we discover that we are not alone...that others might share our thoughts, anxieties, problems, and/or experiences...we feel a sense of comfort and belonging. This can give us courage to open up and talk to someone else about our own experiences. My intention for this blog is to offer support to anyone who wants to change the direction of their life. I want to offer hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We need only to be Honest, Open-Minded, and Willing (H.O.W.) to embark on a journey inward if we truly want to heal and make the changes necessary to live a life of peace and acceptance.  In addition to my journey inward, I have been partaking in a journey outward as well.  I have fallen in love with nature, and have discovered the healing power of the great outdoors  A few close friends of mine and I have been traveling the world for the past three years which has added a whole new dimension to my own recovery.  My blog will also include lessons learned along the way.  Check out my Photo Gallery for some of my favorite pics!
